Ronnie Spector born as Veronica Yvette Greenfield on 10th August 1943 at New York, U.S.A. was an American singer by profession. She was popularly reffered to as bad girl of rock and roll. She conquered with her hit Be my Baby, Baby I Love You, Walking in the rain.
Ronnie was the lead singer of the girl gang group the Ronettes which was earlier known as Darling Sisters including her elder sister, Estelle Bennett and their cousin, Nedra Talley in the years of late 1950. Their group’s debut album Presenting the Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica was released in the year 1964. After the tour of Germany in 1967, the Ronettes broke up.
Ronnie married her boyfriend Phil Spector on 14th April 1968. Due to the ill-treatment and stopping her from following her dream to sing by her husband they got divorced in the year 1974. Later in the year 1982, she got married to Jonathan Greenfield, her manager. Ronnie had five children. Donte Phillip and the twins Louis and Gray were adopted by Ronnie and Phil. With Jonathan, Ronnie had two sons Jason and Austin with whom they lived in Danbury, Connecticut.
Ronnie breathed her last on 12th January 2022 at her home in Danbury at the age of 78 due to cancer. Her family members gave their statement about the sad news on her instagram handle.
