Rahul Bajaj Death Reason

Rahul Bajaj was the chairman of Bajaj Group and an Indian buisnessman who was a billionaire. He had a very long carreer in Indian industry and was leading India’s one of the oldest buisness group. Rahul used to be known as a bold industralist, who used to always speak his mind out even to those in the government. He was a former Rajya Sabha member between 2006-2010 and even awarded the Padma Bhushan in the year 2001.

He was born on 10th June 1938 at Kolkata, West Bengal to Kamalnayan Bajaj and Savitri Bajaj. Rahul Bajaj was the grandson of a freedom fighter Jamnalal Bajaj, who was a close associate of Mahatma Gandhi. Jamnalal Bajaj was the founder of Bajaj Group in the year 1926. Rahul Bajaj’s father Kamalnayan Bajaj succeeded Jamnalal in the year 1942, and even expanded the buisness which included cement, electrical appliance, scooters. Rahul succeeded Kamalnayan in the year 1968, when he was just 30 years old.

Rahul was married to Rupa Bajaj in the year 1961 and she left her heavenly body in the year 2013. Both had three children – two sons, Rajiv and Sanjiv who are involved in the managing his company and a daughter Sunaina who is married to Manish Kejriwal, the former head of Temasek India.

Rahul Bajaj left his heavenly body on 12th February 2022 at the age of 83 due to pneumonia. Earlier he was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune and was suffering from heartand lungs related disease before his death.
