Rabindra Jayanti Images in Bengali – Rabindranath Tagore was born on 7th May 1861 at Kolkata, West Bengal. His birthday is celebrated on 25th of Baishakh as Rabindra Jayanti, according to the Bengali calendar every year. Rabindranath Tagore was a poet, writer, playwriter, composer, philosopher, social reformer and painter. He gave Bengali literatutre and music a new turn to modernisation. Tagore gave national anthem to two countries – India “Jana Gana Mana” and Bangladesh “Amar Shonar Bangla”. He had even received a Nobel Prize in Literature in the year 1913.
