Mark William Lanegan popularly known as Mark Lanegan or Dark Mark, born on 25th November 1964 at Ellensburg, Washington was an American singer, songwriter, author and musician.

Mark was the prominent lead singer of Screaming Trees and also a member of Queens of the Stone Age and The Gutter Twins.

He began his musical career in the year 1984 as a frontman of the psychedelic grunge band Screaming Trees, but unfortunately it got splitted up in the year 2000. After the split up, Mark began to collaborate with Queens of the Stone Age.

Mark Lanegan was accompanied by a friend Kurt Cobain, before his few hours of death. He breathed his last on 22nd February 2022 at his home Killarney, Ireland at the age of 57.
