Maa Shailputri Images – Maa Shailputri is the first Navadurga worshiped during the first day of Navratri is considered to be the pure form of Goddess Parvati. She is the daughter of the king mountain Himavat and Menavati. Maa Shailputri is the reincarnation of Goddess Sati and is the form of Hindu mother goddess Mahadevi. She rides on Nandi, the bull and has two hands with a trident and a lotus flower on each hand, she also has a crescent moon on her forehead.
