Jamai Sasthi Image – Jamai Sasthi, the auspicious festival of Bengalis is celebrated on the sixth day of Shukla Paksh in the Jyestha month, according to the Hindu calendar. The word Jamai means son-in-law and Sasthi is the sixth day of Shukla Paksha. On this day the mother-in-law’s performs Sasthi puja to seek blessings for good fortune and prosperity of her daughter and son-in-law.
