Happy Dussehra Images 2022 – Dussehra also known as Dasara or Vijayadashmi is an auspicious Hindu festival. It marks the victory of good over evil. Dussehra is observed every year on the Dasami tithi of Sukla Paksa in Asvina masa. Various reasons and various celebrations are done in all the parts of India. Some people celebrate it to remember Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura. It is the last day of Durga Puja which includes the immersion of clay statues of Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesha and Kartikeya in the holy water.
In the parts of northern, central and western states of India, it marks the end of Ramlila, and Rama’s victory over Ravana. Ravana’s effigies are burnt with fireworks which marks the destruction of the evil.
