Shiv Kumar Sharma Death – Shiv Kumar Sharma popularly known as Pandit Shivkumar Sharma was born on 13th January 1938 at Jammu, India. He was an Indian composer and santoor player. Due to Shivkumar Sharma the santoor became an Indian cassical instrument after he got international recognition.
Shiv Kumar learned tabla and vocals at a very young age of five. When he was just of the age of thirteen, he gave his first public performance in the year 1955 at Mumbai.
Shiv Kumar Sharma had been awarded with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in the year 1986, with Padma Shri in the year 1991 and with Padma Vibhushan in the year 2011.
On 10th May 2022, at the age of 84 Shiv Kumar Sharma breathed his last due to a cardiac arrest at Mumbai. He had also been suffering from kidney related issues and was on dialysis.
According to one of the family reports it said, “He had a severe heart attack in the morningβ¦ He was active and was to perform in Bhopal next week. He was on a regular dialysis but was still was active.”
