Akshaya Tritiya is a spring festival mostly celebrated by Hindus and Jains. It is also known as Akti or Akha Teej or Manda in Jharkhand. Akshaya Tirtiya signifies the third day of unending prosperity. In Sanskrit the word Akshaya means never decreasing and tirtiya means the third phase of moon. So, Akshaya Tritiya means never decreasing of prosperity, hope, joy, success.
